Much has been written lately of The Law of Attraction since the movie The Secret. Many Christians have been wary of the Law of Attraction as the New Age Movement has claimed “discovery” of this concept. Of course, the other huge problem with movies like The Secret is that there is no acknowledgment the power of God, Jesus Christ, or the Holy Spirit. And, as Christians, we know that all power comes from God, our Lord Jesus Christ & the Holy Spirit. “Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life.”
John 3:6 (New Living Translation)-Jesus

But what is the Law of Attraction? Is it possible that a Christian can use it in prayer for a spiritual, productive life which glorifies God?

The Law of Attraction is basically based on the idea that we are electromagnetic beings. Our thoughts and words have power and influence the natural and supernatural world. What we think about, we bring about.

If our thoughts are energy, they influence us and others, and the world. According to the Law of Attraction, like thoughts attracts like results in the physical world. Therefore, a person is to concentrate on a “higher vibration.” Love and Gratitude are the highest forms of emotional energy.

Are any of these concepts supported by the Bible? Yes, absolutely. In fact, “The Secret” is no “secret” at all. The New Testament and written word of Jesus have much to say which is similar to the Law of Attraction.

As this writer understands it, the Law of Attraction, the Law of Creating & the Law of Allowing as the New Age Movement represents it states basically:

Be Grateful, Ask, Believe, Receive/Allow

These concepts are exactly what the New Testament proclaims.

The BIG difference is, as Christians, we ask in Jesus’ name, receive power from the Holy Spirit & give the Glory to God!

To exercise the Law of Attraction as Christians, we must follow the following steps. Do not focus only on wealth and material possessions, but also on things which eternally matter: How much we love God, become more like Christ, and how we love others.

These steps were also used by some of the great Christian faith healers in history. The power of the Holy Spirit can change our lives if we change our prayer life.

STEP ONE: BE GRATEFUL

We come to God in morning prayer in Praise & Worship to God for His Awe & Wonder and for all of our blessings–big & small. Gratitude to God for all things– from our healthy children to a good cup of coffee, we then open our hearts to receive more blessings from God and power from the Holy Spirit.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (New Living Translation) 16 Always be joyful. 17 Never stop praying. 18 Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

Colossians 3:15 (New Living Translation) 15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

Colossians 3:17 (New Living Translation) 17 And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

Colossians 4:2 (New Living Translation) 2 Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.

STEP TWO: ASK IN PRAYER, IN THE NAME OF JESUS

If what we ask is in alignment with God’s will, we will receive. This isn’t my opinion; Jesus said it over and over again.

John 16:24 (New Living Translation) 16 “You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.”-Jesus

Luke 11:10 (New Living Translation) 10 “For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened”.-Jesus

Mark 14:36 (New Living Translation) 36 “Abba, Father, he cried out, “everything is possible for you. Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”-Jesus

Matthew 7:7-8 (New Living Translation) 7 “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. -Jesus

STEP THREE: HAVE FAITH

What is faith? Faith is the “belief that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him..By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.” (Hebrews 11:4-10)

Faith without doubt allows you to receive the power of the Holy Spirit.

Faith is the belief that “Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” Mark 11:24-Jesus

(Hebrews 11:1) King James Version 11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Matthew 9:29 (New International Version) 29 Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith will it be done to you”-Jesus

Luke 17:6 (New International Version) 6 He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.”-Jesus

Luke 8:48 (New International Version) 48 hen he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.” -Jesus

Matthew 17:20 (New International Version) 20 He replied, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” -Jesus

Matthew 21:22 (New Living Translation) 22 “You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.” Jesus

STEP FOUR: BELIEVE & RECEIVE GOD’S BLESSINGS & THE HOLY SPIRIT

This is the tough part! Believing & Receiving. We always think we have to earn God’s gifts. But, God is good! He gives us His Blessings if only we ask!

Matthew 25:23 (New International Version) 23 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ -Jesus

Acts 10:38 (New Living Translation) 38 And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.

Galatians 5:22-23 (New Living Translation) 22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control.

Romans 15:13 (New Living Translation) 3 I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

John 14:16-18 (New Living Translation) 16 “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. 17 He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him.”-Jesus

Christians need not fear the concepts in the Law of Attractio as long as we recognize that God is the Source of all Power. For more information, see [http://www.energyhealingconnection.com]

What-Is-Holistic-Therapy[1]

Holistic Massage Therapy Benefits

So you’ve decided on the natural healing methods, but you want it to be a holistic therapy. You’re wondering whether massage therapy is the best choice. But is that true?

The term “holistic” derives from the ancient Greek word “holos,” which means “whole.” By definition, holistic massage treats the whole of the body as a single unity.

A holistic massage therapy is kind of massage which combines a balance of natural healing methods with massage therapy. Its combination between Swedish massage therapy and deep tissue provide the client relaxation that can increase their wellbeing and health. This kind of massage addresses the entire body as a whole, concentrating on the physical body, the mental body and the emotional body.

Its integrated system and its very nature are approach of holistic healing.

Whilst another massage therapy only reduce stress and intend to bringing oxygen and blood flow to all parts of body, a holistic massage therapy takes it to another level. Why? I hear you ask. Since the healer will take the time to find the causes before healing and try to brings the therapy together the emotional, mental, spiritual and social parts of the being. By treating the entire being, the person gains not only the healing they seek, but also gain things they never dreamt of before. With natural remedies a holistic massage therapy provides the client the tools for good health and bringing the client in to state of balance.

Those with medical conditions should check with their doctors before receiving a massage to be certain there will be no adverse affects.

Whiplash treatment

Over 2 years ago I was rear ended by another car and have dealt with whiplash on and off ever since. The pain ranged from quite severe where I have stayed home from work not able to move to just minor tightness in my neck. Now I’ve used some different forms of treatment which all seemed to help. The 3 I used mainly were massage therapy, chiropractic care and the Hurley/Osborn technique. Massage therapy was a great option to use when the pain was quite low with just some minor tightness when moving my head back and forth. It relieved some of the tightness and obviously relaxed my shoulders and trapezoids which can get very tight to compensate for any tissue damage caused by whiplash. The massage relaxed by body and mind therefore relieving any stress that could have possibly been adding to the body stress of my whiplash. I went to a Chiropractor when I had very little range of motion in my neck, not being able to turn my head from side to side with terrible headaches. This gave me instant relief from the tension headaches I was experincing and stretched out any tendents and tissue that had tightened up. My neck and back were also adjusted getting rid of any air pockets in my spine. This therapy isn’t quite as relaxing at massage, with deeper massaging techniques that really get in there to stretch out any tightness. I found I was  a bit sore afterwards comparable to how you would feel after a good workout. But after the soreness went away (around 2 days) so did the whiplash pain and stayed away until the stresses of life or even aa awkard nights sleep rolled in. Then I tried a new therapy recommended by a co-worker called Hurley Osborn. When I asked her what it entailed she basically said “I have no idea how this works but it does.” Since I had been getting tired of the pain randomly returning I was willing to try anything. I went to this womens house where she provides this therapy and was asked to stand in from of a plum line so she could measure and mark and curvitures in my back then away she went to work with the most gentle touches to my back and neck, all the while I’m thinking how ridiculous this is. How will this work if she’s barely touching me? Within 5 minutes she was done and I was asked to lay still for another 5. When time was up she came in and measured me again telling me she already see’s a difference and within the next 2 days I should be good as new. She said I may be sore or achy until my body readjusts itself. So I walked out of there with a “Yeah right” attitude and went on with my day. The next day I was so achy (and cranky!) I was sure she did something wrong and was a bit worried. But I said I’d give it one more day and am glad I did. By the second day I was pain free and felt the range of motion I forgot I had. I hadn’t realized just how tightened up I’d been until my back was back! I stayed pain free for almost a whole year (when usually I was getting massaged or chiro’d every 4-6 weeks) when I started running and injured myself minorly again. I went back for Hurley/Osborn and have again been pain free ever since and running like it’s nobodies business. I highly recommend giving this treatment a shot if you can find a practitioner in your area, it’ll be worth your time and now you can go for a massage for the sheer enjoyment of it :)

My idea of Holistic Health

Holistic Health and Wellness.

A state of being at your ideal health. Of making a conscious decision to choose a life with love, health and happiness. That`s how I`m  living my life. I believe in a natural way of living, eating clean foods for prevention of disease and illness, exercise and yoga to keep me at my ideal weight and have a strong & limber body and just  recently learning that true health involves not only diet and fitness but spiritual health as well. I haven`t always thought this way making pretty poor health and life choices in my past but thankfully learning lots from those mistakes. Those mistakes pointed out what I didn`t want and made me work harder for what I did want, what everyone wants. Health and happiness. So I started eating better cleaner foods and my energy came back. I started working out and doing yoga and my body thanked me a million times over. Then I found my spiritual health, finally!! I wasn`t quite sure I was missing it to be honest until I recently read a book that changed the way I look at things. It`s called Anatomy of a Miracle by Dr. B. Richards (you can find it on the products page on this website) and after applying what I`ve learned from this book I feel like I have `Holistic Health`. That I`m healthy in every area of my life and will continue to be so as long as I put just a bit of loving work into it. I urge u to read this book and allow it to do what I`m sure it`ll do, change how you look at things.

Theta Healing Compared To Traditional Medicine

What methods of healing does traditional western medicine take toward healing? Does Western medicine fully address the mind body connection? No, it does not.

Western medicine is based on invasive expensive methods of treatment for common ailments. Recently traditional medicine has explored the mind body connection and preventative medicine but it has been almost an afterthought.

Do you have an emotional or physical problem that you feel is not addressed fully by traditional methods? Do you feel the need for a whole body natural approach to healing? Would you like to be able to help yourself and your friends and family? Would you like to be able to do this to supplement traditional medicine or other teachings? Read on for an exciting teaching that will change your life. Whether your problem is large or small, it involves your whole body and mind despite how the world views such illnesses as common as the cold or as complicated as diabetes.

Theta Healing is a teaching that allows development and improvement spiritually, physically, emotionally, and mentally. You will go into the Theta state or Theta rapture as some practitioners call it. This state will give you a clearer picture of what could be amiss with your life and change it. You will naturally become more intuitive through this practice. You will also learn to listen to the Creator Of All That Is.

Thetahealing has four levels: soul, history, gene, and core. It does not tell you that you must do away with all the other teachings in your life. Thetahealing teaches that all things work together and actually compliments all medical and mental teachings, especially the ones that lean toward nature. It is a treatment method, a way of life, a way of thinking, but it is not a religion.

Endless Universe: Beyond The Big Bang – Paul J. Steinhardt and Neil Turok

Endless Universe: Beyond The Big Bang

Paul J. Steinhardt and Neil Turok

Doubleday, 2007

There are some theories that are generally accepted, such as Einstein’s Theory of Relativity.  Then there are those that people grapple with, such as the Big Bang Theory.  Why?  Because some theories are just easier to accept and Einstein’s Theory of Relativity doesn’t seem to get in the way of religion.  The Big Bang Theory, however, unless incorporated as the “Let there be light” moment in the biblical book of Genesis, does fly in the face of most religions in that it posits a something-from-nothing approach to the formation of the universe, which is anathema to religions based on a creation aspect.

Be that as it may, several models incorporating the Big Bang Theory have been proposed to varying degrees of success.  With more and more data being compiled from special satellites, telescopes, and information retreival devices, much is being learned about our universe, some of it leading to but not proving a singular explosive beginning.  The most prevalent model of how the universe began is the Expansionist Universe Model, which posits that the universe began with a big bang, is expanding and will continue to do so until dark matter takes over and entropy reigns.

Paul Steinhardt and Neil Turok found this version of the universe entirely too pessimistic.  Using string theory and the latest in quantum physics and cosmological thinking, the two scientists found that the universe may exist as a cyclical form.  In Endless Universe, Steinhardt and Turok explain how they came to think that this theory may be the correct one, where their idea originated, the background theories, hypotheses, and reasonings that led to and continue to bolster this new model of the universe, dubbed the Cyclical Universe Model.  In their model, the universe has no beginning or end (and it may have had a beginning somewhen in the past, but ascertaining this is immaterial to the model), but continues to go through cycles of a Big Bang-like inception period, an expansionist period, a contraction-like period, and another Big Bang-like inception period, on and on, ad infinitum.

Masterfully written in layman terms, Endless Universe is an engrossing read about modern cosmology and where it stands, where the cyclical model has been added to several expansionist models of how the universe came to be as it is.  Controversial in their own field as well as with the rest of the world, this book questions the validity of the arguments favoring the expansionist models and successfully and defends the strengths and plausibility of the cyclical model.

And the authors do not rule out the Big Bang Theory, either.  They merely suggest that the Big Bang that created the current universe in which we exist is simply one in a series of Big Bangs.  The beauty of the book and the idea is that it is presented in such a believable manner that you cannot help but be a little excited by the work of Steinhardt and Turok.  This is must reading for anyone interested in the universe and how it may have come to be…

Bee Pollen

Although not overly popular in North American diets bee pollen can pack a serious  nutritional punch and should be included in your diet. One could even put a wager on calling it the PERFECT FOOD. With 96 different nutrients, actually every nutrient needed to sustain life, and protein that’s nearly all usable by the body this food is a power house for your health. It’s been suggested that only 35 grams of bee pollen a day will give the body all the nutrients it needs in a day to sustain life. Because bee pollen already has every nutrient your body needs it’s a great supplement to take daily to “fill in the cracks” if you feel like you may not be getting all that you need from your diet. There have been numerous studies done on mice who were fed only bee pollen and nothing else showing no sign of malnourishment. So it makes sense that it has also been used in some areas of the world to boost nutritional needs in famine stricken areas.

  The health benefits of bee pollen have been known for thousands of years and used in traditional Chinese medicine all along and is just now gaining popularity in western medicine (lucky us!). Here’s only a few of the benefits that bee pollen can offer you;

IMMUNITY

Because of the proteins, mono &  polyunsaturated fats, vitamins B, C, D, E, beta-carotene, calcium, magnesium, selenium, nucleic acids, lecethin, and  cystein (which have all been proven to boost the immune system), this is a great defender against any foreign bug, cold or illness that may be going around.

ALLERGIES

Because bee pollen contains very small traces of substances that may trigger allergic hay fever, some allergists may subscribe small doses of bee pollen to help lower sensitivity to plant pollens

STRESS

Bee Pollen contains every amino acid, essential fatty acid, and vitamin to help regulate moods so supplementing with it can help to alleviate some of the stressful feelings you may be experiencing

ENERGY

Athletes are wise to use bee pollen to supplement their work-outs and lifestyle. They know that bee pollen has every nutrient the body needs. Therefore providing them with endurance and energy if taken consistently while replenishing nutrients being depleted by their high activity lifestyle.

AGING

Again, because bee pollen provides your body with every life sustaining nutrient it’s able to slow down the aging process. The body is getting everything it needs from this power house therefore it’s happy and working at peak performance.

WEIGHTLOSS

Bee Pollen has also been proven to help with weight-loss, with an ability to correct chemical imbalances in the body for people with weight problems sometimes have. Other weight control benefits are boosting your metabolism and dissolving fat cells because of the doses of lecithin and amino acids, as well as helping to control cravings. Bee pollen can also help with giving you more energy to make it to the gym or out for a walk.

OTHER BENEFITS

  • lowering cholesterol
  • help restore womens reproductive system
  • PMS relief
  • prevent prostate problems
  • higher sperm count
  • better sexual performance
  • detoxifies
  • helps with cancer patients (giving them nutrients they may not be getting because of illness)

Because of the incredible benefits that Bee Pollen has to offer it is recommened to supplement with it everyday along side of  you multi vitamin to gain the effects of energy, and (extremely) good health. It is available in powder, granules, capsules and tablets. Capsules usually contain other bee hive products such as royal jelly, propolis and honey which are also health superheros.

Bee Pollen can be hard to find and is not in grocery stores (unless it’s a specialy shop and still sometimes can’t be found) so it’s best to order online or from a bee farm if they offer it.

** Be Pollen should be avoided by anyone who is allergic to Bee Venom just to be safe.

Traditional Healing

Around 80% of the population in Africa uses traditional medicines according to the World Health Organisation (WHO). There is one traditional healer for every 500 people in Sub-Saharan Africa, but there is only one medical doctor for every 40,000 people. It has been estimated that the whole industry is worth well over R250 million with 70% of the South African population consulting traditional healers.

Traditional Healers’ Council: As a result of new legislation, the Traditional Health Practitioners Bill, an interim National Traditional Healers’ Council was established. The registration and regulation of all types of traditional healers (including inyangas, sangomas, traditional birth attendants and traditional surgeons) will be oversee by this Council.

It is estimated that 200 000 traditional healers will be eligible for registration. Once the new law comes into full effect only registered healers will be allowed to practise medicine. The new law does not allow for traditional healers to diagnose or treat terminal diseases, including HIV and AIDS, and cancer. Traditional healers who are registered will be able to claim fees from the medical aid schemes of their patients. The register is still in the process of being set up and there have been some legal challenges to the new legislation, which has delayed its full enactment.

The Bill states that traditional healers who are not registered and attempt to practise medicine, or claim to be able to treat or cure a terminal disease, will be fined or imprisoned. Traditional Healers’ Organisation: The Traditional Healers Organisation (THO) is the biggest umbrella organisation of traditional healers in South Africa and was established in 1970. It has nearly 70 000 members, 25 000 of whom live and work in South Africa. Membership includes a compulsory one-day workshop on THO activities and a five-day workshop on traditional primary health care. Members also need to produce a good character reference. The provincial offices of the THO are located in Mpumalanga, Limpopo, KwaZulu-Natal and North West. The national offices is in Johannesburg.

Role of traditional healers in HIV and AIDS: Due to the importance of traditional healers in South African society the government needs to actively involve them in its HIV and AIDS Care, Management and Treatment Plan. This means providing training for traditional healers on the science, prevention, treatment and care of HIV and AIDS. This will be on the understanding that traditional healers are not allowed to diagnose or treat HIV and AIDS using their own methods. They can only support the care and treatment plan endorsed by the government.

Traditional medicines and HIV and AIDS: With many people using traditional medicines to treat the symptoms of HIV and AIDS, lots of claims have been made that some of these traditional medicines can even cure HIV disease. These claims are totally incorrect, as no treatments, including Antiretroviral medicines (ARVs), have been shown to cure HIV and AIDS. There is also evidence that several common traditional medicines do more harm than good.

Once a person has been infected the virus that causes HIV disease stays in a person’s body forever. ARVs work by attacking the virus and stopping it from making lots of copies of itself. A person starts to feel better as the number of viruses in the body is reduced. ARVs do not remove the virus totally from the body; as soon as a person stops taking the medicines the number of the viruses starts to increase again.

Some herbal treatments may help by attacking the virus directly or by stimulating a person’s immune system, which then attacks the infected cells. However there is very little proper scientific research about the safety and effectiveness of these herbal treatments. It is therefore vital to ensure that these medicines are properly researched first to ensure that the safe and effectives ones can be identified and used, and the ones that can harm people are withdrawn.

AIDSbuzz works to increase the capacity of non-profit organisations by providing information on how to access resources and achieve goals, as well as encourage greater networking between such organisations, government departments and concerned individuals and businesses wishing to help.
